River is the biggest, happiest, friendliest and kindest Labrador I know. He is in fact a true gentleman of his breed.​

He loves his days out in the shooting field enjoying both picking up and beating. He is very steady to shot and game and has a really stylish delivery to finish off the retrieve.

He is slower than his team mates at Riverlily but that is a good thing as he often finds birds and game tucked up that the others have rushed by when they are sweeping up.

​

He is a very loyal dog and wants to please. He loves his toys and his treats and always has to be carrying something in his mouth!

​

River is always happy to work for clients so they can see what it feels like to work a trained dog.

He is super well trained to the whistle but his chilled out speed on delivery meant that in Working Tests we never made the grade against faster dogs.....so we abandoned Tests until he was in the Veteran classes and now look at his little awards! :-)

​

River is also happy to spend the day chilling out at home or spending time with my family and friends.

​

He is one genuine, honest, kind and loving soul and I wouldn't be without him.
