Novice and Novice Masters Training
After Puppy and Cadet levels have been passed we have Novice and Novice Master Training

Novice
Novice level is for gundog breeds who are training for fun and general obedience and also for those who plan to go out in the shooting field or compete and who are new to gundog training. You will build a great bond with your dog through learning new gundog training skills together. We focus on heelwork on and off lead, recall, sit/stays, focus and general good dog manners. We introduce structured retrieving with memory, seen and blind retrieves, and start directional work and the stop whistle. We introduce hunting scenarios for Spaniels.
Once a dog has reached a certain level dogs and handlers can progress onto our Novice Master and Advanced levels.
Our novice courses run for 6 weeks and cost £120.00. Payment is due in full on week one.

After Novice level you can progress to Novice Master and Advanced level.

Dogs need to have a 121 with a Riverlily Trainer before booking a course or should have trained in a group with us previously.

Novice Masters
Novice Masters level is for gundog breeds who are training to go out in the shooting field and /or to enter gundog competitions both Working Tests and Field Trials who have some previous gundog training experience.
We continue to focus on the fundamental basics of dog training whilst at the same progress our work on seen, memory and blind retrieve in realistic real life scenarios. We focus on steadiness to shot and dummies.
We also work on handling skills and teaching owners how to read their dogs and the environment.
Stop whistles and directional work are put to the test!
Shot will be used at this level.

After Novice Master level you can progress to Advanced level.
